How Did I End Up Here..
Having spent my the early part of my teenage years overweight and with not desire to do change my ways, I discovered the barbell. It started in my basement on a cheap simple weight bench with a barbell and some simple PLASTIC weight plates. I continued my weekly routine of strictly bench pressing and doing curls for around a year. Moving on from there when I finally reached my first fitness goal I bench pressed all the weight plates I had, probably around 180lbs . A mere weight when compared to my 280 pound frame. I then moved to the local YMCA where I continued my bench press and curls and added the occasional leg press or lat pull-down. I realized that weightlifting and becoming " the strongest version of myself" to quote Elliott Hulse is what I want out of life. This is truly my passion. I need weightlifting, weightlifting has become apart of who I really am. Fast forwarding to now 6 years later, I'm 22 and an exercise and sports science major. I'm becoming a stronger version of myself each day. I have transferred my passion of weightlifting to what I want to do with my life. I want to help people feel the way I now feel after going through a weight-loss struggle and coming out a more well rounded ( not body shape) person. I always had dreams of being in shape and having the " beach body" most people strive for. Now I realize dreams are obsolete, I don't have dreams anymore. I have GOALS not a fantasy dream that might never be reached. I have goals that I obtain on a regular basis. Hope this gave a good look into how I came to develop this Hybrid workout routine that I will discuss next....Thanks and stay Strong and set Goals.
